The system and methodology of studies encompass all academic areas at the following levels of professional studies:
Diplomas - Bachelor's Degrees - Master's Degrees - Doctorates - Postdoctoral Studies
The study programs consist of 4 academic phases:
Phase I: General study fields (5) that must be developed by all students.
Phase II: Development or recognition of courses in the area of interest.
Phase III: Development of a thesis or recognition of research work (not applicable for diplomas).
Phase IV: Verification of data for the preparation of respective documents and titles.
Studies are conducted remotely through a Virtual Academic Platform, where the student, guided by our academic advisors, can undergo the teaching-learning process theoretically and freely, at their own pace of learning and intellectual capacity/performance.
A SPACE FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
ACADEMIC PHASE I
The program begins with general fields of study (5) that must be completed by all students.
Documentation: Submit identification and any academic certifications validating the student's level of education (curriculum vitae, diplomas, grade certificates, etc.).
Time: The development of this academic phase may take 4 to 6 weeks; however, it always depends on the availability and time each student dedicates to their studies.
Purpose: Delve into philosophy, psychology, sociology, and education. Additionally, the student will become familiar with the study system and topics related to their field of study.
Work plan: Development of the following mandatory fields of study: Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Pedagogy, and Scientific Writing.
ACADEMIC PHASE II
A curriculum plan will be offered based on the academic and professional interests of the student. This process will be carried out through communication and coordination between the academic advisor and the student. In this phase, the student can also request the validation/recognition of studies completed at other higher education institutions.
Time: The development of this academic phase may take 4 to 6 weeks per course, but it always depends on the availability and time each student dedicates to their studies. The time does not include courses that have been validated/recognized by the academic advisor.
Purpose: Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the professional development of the student in the human, scientific, technological, and research aspects.
Work plan: Development of the study plan, curriculum adjustments, and/or validation of academic/work experience according to the number of courses required for each level of study.
Bachelor's Degree: 28 courses | Master's Degree: 14 courses | Doctorate: 12 courses | Postdoctorates: 10 courses | Diplomas: 8 courses.
ACADEMIC PHASE III
Through the Virtual Campus, the student will submit a Thesis Proposal based on the research work they wish to undertake (except for diplomas). Once the proposal is approved by the assigned academic advisor, the thesis development will begin.
In this phase, the student can also request the validation/recognition of research work undertaken at another academic or work institution.
Time: The development of this academic phase may take 3 to 5 months, including the proposal and thesis development. The time does not include if the student has decided to have a research work validated/recognized.
Purpose: Develop research competence, writing, analysis, and results.
Work plan: The student will be provided with guidance and guidelines for the proposal and thesis development.
ACADEMIC PHASE IV
This phase is the administrative part where the student's personal and academic data are verified for the preparation of graduation documents.
Time: The design, printing, and legalization of graduation documents may take 4 to 6 weeks.
Purpose: Send all graduation documents to the student's address.
Work plan: Confirm personal academic data with the student and coordinate the graduation documents to be awarded.
DURATION AND STUDY SCHEDULES
Study Duration
The completion time of studies depends on each student and can be based on the time invested in studies and the number of courses that can be recognized through academic or work experience. It is important to note that the study time for a distance program is different from the time allocated in traditional on-site studies.
Distance studies do not follow semester breaks or vacation periods, as courses progress according to the student's pace.
Diplomas and Certifications: Approximately 4 to 8 months.
Bachelor's Degree: Approximately 36 to 48 months.
Master's Degree: Approximately 18 to 24 months.
Doctorate: Approximately 24 to 36 months.
Postdoctorate: Approximately 18 to 24 months.
Study Schedules
Educollege provides a Virtual Campus where students have 24/7 access, seven days a week, without set schedules. In this mode, students have the autonomy to organize their agenda based on their professional and personal needs.
Since most students have family, academic, and work responsibilities, the study methodology allows for a flexible schedule. Additionally, students have direct contact with the assigned academic advisor for necessary coordination in the development of their personalized study plan.
